W&RSETA Bursary South Africa 2017 – 2018

ABOUT THE BURSAR

W&RSETA Bursary - The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) is a public organisation, formed to encourage skill development in the Wholesale and Retail sector by way of grants, bursaries, training and learnerships. In 2011, the W&RSETA Bursary Scheme was born, with the aim of providing financial help to students studying wholesale and retail qualifications.

ABOUT THE BURSARY - W&RSETA Bursary

The bursary is open to students who are studying (or intend to study) in one of the following fields:
HETI PROGRAMMES (B.Tech/ Degrees/ Diplomas):

  • Accounting
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Information Technology/ Computer Science
  • Logistics Management
  • Purchasing Management
  • Retail Business Management
  • Retail Pharmacy
  • Retail Marketing
  • Sales and Marketing Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Training and Development Management

NATED PROGRAMMES (N4 – N6):

 Available bursaries for January 2017
  • Financial Management
  • Human Resource Management
  • Management Assistant
  • Marketing Management

NCV PROGRAMMES (LEVEL 2 – LEVEL 4):

  • Accounting, Economics & Finance
  • Information Technology & Computer Science
  • Office Administration
  • Marketing
  • Transport and Logistics

The following expenses will be covered by the bursary programme: tuition, prescribed books, meals and accommodation.

ELIGIBILITY - W&RSETA Bursary

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • South African citizen,
  • Registered or accepted at a recognised tertiary institution,
  • Studying (or intend on studying) full-time in one of the aforementioned fields.

 

HOW TO APPLY

Download and complete the W&RSETA Bursary Application Form (pdf).

The following documents must accompany your complete application form:

  • ID document (certified copy),
  • Matric/ Grade 11/ NCV Level 4 results certificate (certified copy),
  • CV (with contact details),
  • Proof of university admission and registration,
  • W&RSETA NQF 4 or 5 certificates (certified copy),
  • Parents/ guardians full names and contact details, employer details and recent payslip.
